Office Space Planning No matter how large the
desk it always seems we are running out of space. And that’s mainly due to the fact that
papers pile up and we end up pushing them around as we try to make room on
our desk. Being able to quickly store
papers off of your desk before they turn into piles saves time, creates desk
space, and avoids frustration. Keeping
all papers in binders on book case shelves in front of your desk and wall
pockets leaves your desk surface clear.
That’s the theory behind my Shelves-and-Desk design system. It also lets you store within reach any
stackable drawers for paper supplies, or baskets and magazine butlers for
catalogs and magazines, and gives you excellent hidden space under your desk
to conceal computer wires, routers, equipment, bulky supplies and even a
small stool to rest your feet up as you work.
