The Beauty of Blue Blue flowers have
always been my personal favorite in the garden. They are cool and relaxing—especially welcome
in the summer months. Combined with
white, they bring the beauty of Delft china outdoors. A blue garden is particularly difficult to
achieve not least because very few flowers are actually true blue. The Hydrangea, of course, is the exception
a variety of which turns an intensely blue color with a good amount of acidic
fertilizer, and best of all, is easy to grow.
Lavender and purple combinations among annuals that flower all summer
long give an overall blue feel and help continue the color even when flowers
like the Hydrangea are out of bloom.
